Be an ALS Advocate
Advocacy: Act or process of publicly supporting a cause or proposal.
The Les Turner ALS Foundation encourages people with ALS, families, friends and supporters to participate in the nationals and statewide ALS advocacy efforts. It is a crucial time for ALS awareness, with the funding of new bills, research proposals and additional government support on the horizon.
Advocate: One that argues for a cause, a supporter or defender.
For more information on advocacy, please contact our main office at 847 679 3311 or visit the ALS Association’s and MDA’s advocacy websites for further information on current legislation topics. The Foundation also recommends signing up for legislative alerts through ALSA‘s public policy section or the advocacy section of MDA-ALS.
